about

Formed by two DJs (Eitetsu Takamiya and DJ CHINTAM) active for over 30 years, Five II Four's memorable debut track is a cover of the song 'Tanabata no Yoru, Kimi ni Aitai', originally released under the name Chappie in 1999. The title track is a fun original with a soul/funk/Latin essence and a few homages to rare grooves scattered throughout the track. The "Milky Way Mix", on the other hand, features a mid tempo, square beat, a guitar phrase reminiscent of Sister Sledge's "Thinking Of You" and an impressive arrangement of strings, vibraphone and percussion that pays homage to Salsoul and Phillys. A summer anthem that will be talked about from spring to summer and from summer to autumn, and will be a comfortable floor-turner in 2023!
